Forum Research created a webinar on a topic that is closely related to housing associations, and the primary objective was to attract an audience of professionals who are currently employed at specific housing associations. Getting the right audience for the webinar was key to its success, so we created a very targeted LinkedIn automated campaign that helped attract 60+ participants and generated 3 qualified leads.

The challenge

For the webinar to be successful, there has to be the right people in attendance. So, the major challenge was how to attract the right participants who matched our client’s target audience and would find the event most relevant.

There was a key focus on ‘quality’ and not the ‘quantity’ of participants. So, we had to create an automated LinkedIn campaign that could help us efficiently reach a large pool of qualified participants at scale.

The process

01. INTRODUCTION
We met with Forum Research, the client, and discussed what their major goal was. We also found out about the target audience they wanted to reach and how that attracting the right participants was very crucial for the success of the webinar.
02. LEAD RESEARCH
We started with finding and scraping a list of potential participants that matched the client’s target audience. We ensured that each potential participant has certain demographic and firmographic attributes that made them qualified for our client’s lead generation criteria.
03. CAMPAIGN STRATEGY
For an efficient and cost-effective campaign, we had to leverage LinkedIn automation instead of manual targeting. We set up the automation and with the help of one of our specialists, we crafted an automated sequence that consisted of different targeted messages.
04. CAMPAIGN SEQUENCE
The sequences are an important part of such a campaign, and we had to ensure they are automated yet personalized. We used each recipients’ demographic information to tailor and make messages more relevant to them.
05. FOLLOW-UP & RESPONSES
We ensured continuous improvement after the initial development and added more functionalities as we saw fit. For example, we made a setup that updates a lead’s status in the CRM, once they accept a LinkedIn connection request.
06. RESULTS

The campaign was successful as it helped our client achieve the initial goal of attracting the right participants for the webinar. The client recorded 60+ webinar registrations and closed three qualified leads from the webinar. It was well worth it for them.
